This is a group for fit hikers. While the trails aren't dangerous, they are usually very steep. Trail shoes of some sort will make your hike easier, though hiking boots aren't typically needed. I decided to start this group for people in-between San Francisco and San Jose. I also have found it difficult to find groups that meet later in the day on the weekends. I'm not a morning person so I like to hike but prefer to go later in the day.
